Lilia Gapuz has a very positive approach to her job as a Casino Host at Circus Circus Reno, a job that is very focused on a high level of customer service.

"The job needs your full commitment and you have to put it in your heart," she said. "It becomes a part of your life, and you have to constantly make the best decisions that benefit the guests."

Lilia has worked at Circus Circus Reno since 1999, when she began as a One Club Representative. She was recently promoted to Casino Host in February 2007. In her years at Circus Circus Reno, Lilia has won the title of Employee of the Month twice.

Originally from the Philippines, Lilia moved to Nevada in 1998. She says the entire lifestyle of living in the United States is very different from what she was used to in the Philippines.

Her daily duties as a casino host include making reservations, letting the guests know about the current casino promotions, and basically doing what she can to fill the hotel rooms. Her day is filled with talking to guests, both established and new.

"This job is fun, but very challenging. I love being with people every day and finding solutions to different problems every day," she said.

In her time away from work, she loves being a mom to her 4 kids- whether that means cooking, shopping, or just spending time with them.

As far as the secret to winning, Lilia has one bit of advice. "I encourage players to play only for fun. And that way, if you do win, it makes it even better."
